Meat production centre for pork
The meat production centre has a slaughtering capacity of 1,000,000 pigs a year.
All of the livestock processed on our premises comes from QA-certified farms. We are particularly proud of the close proximity to our suppliers, with the vast majority of pigs coming from farms located within a radius of just 50 kilometres. This means not only close contact with the breeders concerned, but also short transport routes and humane handling for the livestock being transported. In contrast to this, our pork products and sausages are marketed throughout the European Union and also in many non-EU countries. Steinemann has established a successful system of joint production with its suppliers for this purpose, based on the concept of “from stable to table”, with strict quality control applied at all stages in the process.
