Heartily delicious cooked sausages

Most of the ingredients in our prepared sausages are cooked before being added.

The individual ingredients are bound together by solidified fat, meat jelly or blood protein. After being stuffed into sausage skins or packed in jars or cans, the kochwurst is plunged into hot water or steam for final cooking. The flavour of the tender meat contained in kochwurst is often complemented by the addition of such hearty ingredients as liver or tongue. Kochwurst sausages are traditionally made on the day that the pig is slaughtered, and they still form a proud part of any traditional meat platter.
